Is there a way I can get SPSS to produce line graphs in black and white without having to go in and edit the colours every time?

Comparing data above and below a median split

Hi there, I'm unsure how to analyse the data I have using SPSS - very new to stat analysis! The data I have is IQ, test 1 and test 2. I have been advised to perform a median split (lower versus higher IQ) and see if it makes a difference in performance on the two types of test. I am using SPSS 21, W...

Re: Reporting concurrent validity

I was told to report this way

correlation between x and y was significant/nonsignificant, r(N) = .**CENSORED**, p = .**CENSORED**.

But I'm not sure which tables the figures should come from

Reporting concurrent validity

I used SPSS to test for concurrent validity between two tests. My supervisor, after looking at the output, was happy that there is concurrent validity. However, how do I write this up? What statistics do I report and in which format?

Re: Data Split Output is blank

Data - split file - groups - compare groups (instruction I was given by my Phd supervisor)

Output Log says:

GET
FILE='C:\Users\Sharon\Desktop\MyFiles\Phd\Studies\March 2014\Results\PS1.sav'.
DATASET NAME DataSet1 WINDOW=FRONT.
SORT CASES BY Group.
SPLIT FILE LAYERED BY Group.

Help with F tables and reporting ANOVA please

I have run a general linear repeated measures on my data. This showed a difference for each group, so then I did simple effects analysis for each group. I am having difficulty with the results. I reported the significance (P=) but was then asked to report full values - for example - F(x,xx)=x,xx, p<...

Serious Beginner

I haven't used SPSS in ages. I imported an excel file - the experiment has groups and 2 conditions. The way I had the excel set out was
group variable variable
1 13 29
2

etc etc

I wanted to run an ANOVA but spss is seeing 3 variables and no factors :(
