Combining two different datasets

Postby christian_87 » Tue Mar 29, 2016 6:45 pm

Hello everyone

I've been struggling with a problem for a couple of days now and I really hope someone on the forum can help me to solv it. I am using SPSS version 22.

I have two different datasets that containing different information that I want to combine. I made a simpler version of the datasets.

Datasetnr 1:

Information about aggregated score points on the city level for schools on three different subjects between School year 1-9:
City.PNG
Datasetnr 2:

Information about different schools within the city. Ex. SchoolYear1-9 is binary, Has the SchoolYear=1, does not have the SchoolYear=0:
Schools.PNG

This is how I want my data to look when it is combined:

Thanks!

Is this possible to do in some kind of way?

it is unclear to me how you have defined school_A etc in dataset 1.
