awkward histogram??????

Postby Guest » Tue Dec 04, 2007 7:13 pm

ok i can make simple histograms using spss but i am now stuck.

i need to create a histogram which shows the x axis as one set of variable , which is -5 to +9

but i need the bars to be representing another set of variables. so that it shows the new variable at the positions of the corresponding variable on the x axis.

here is my data

variable 1---------------------variable 2
-5----------------------------------0
-4----------------------------------0
-3----------------------------------0
-2----------------------------------0
-1----------------------------------0
0-----------------------------------0
1----------------------------------.30
2---------------------------------1.70
3---------------------------------5.90
4--------------------------------21.20
5--------------------------------55.50
6--------------------------------87.80
7--------------------------------94.60
8--------------------------------98.50
9-------------------------------100.0

i need variable 2 to be the bars on the graph and variable 1 to be the numbers on the x axis

on the y axis is the frequency.

not sure if anyone can help. but am getting close to deadline Very Happy
