normality of data

Postby federico1984 » Wed Mar 05, 2008 7:04 am

hello, i am testing the normality for a set of data. However, it showed me 0.000 of sig. in Kolmogorov-Smirnov. :( Anyone can help me in this to get at least the minimum of 0.05 of sig?Perhaps, i would like to paste the URL to my sets of data. However, this is my 1st post and i am restricted to paste the link here.

thanks for helping :D

Data received to get it being significantly different from normal

214 cases
Mean of 3.50
K-S Z stat = 1.844
2-tail sig = .002

If you want to reduce the dataset then checking on outliers might help but the histogram suggests that this probably want help

yea, i checked the histogram already...Is there anyway to make it normal distributed except discarding the outliers?

Sure, change the values or create your own

try to square, take root or log... If I see your graph, I don't think it will help but you never know...
