Extract significant Correlation Tables

Postby markuskus » Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:29 pm

Dear Community,
I recently automatized Pearson and Spearman correlations for my datasets using syntax. However I am only interested in the significant output tables and dont always want to screen hundreds of tables to find and save them. How knows which syntax (script?) is required to filter significant correlation tables + save? Another approach would be ok too, if SPSS only prints the significant ones thus I could save the entire output.

In order to clearify: My output are pairs (A-A, B-B,...); small, but lots of correlations.

best wishes,
markus

If you use Excel 2007 you can use a couple of conditional format rules to make a template like this one that I use:

This one has only 3 rules:
1) a color scale from blue to red according to the values
2) no format for values between 0 and .1
3) no format for values between 0 and -.1

For me this is ESSENTIAL for analyzing large surveys.

Depends on SPSS version but the OMS facility can be used.
See the note below
