How to get Kappa in surveys (complex samples) ??

Postby noe.g » Fri Jun 14, 2013 9:17 am

Hi,

I am working with a stratified sample from a survey (a complex sample) with SPSS and SPSS-complexsamples.

I just tried to measure the agreement between two variables with the kappa test but it seems there is no way to take the nature of the sample into account in SPSS.

We know the Kappa value will be the same, but the confidence interval may differ according to bibliography. That is why we would like to consider the “complex sample” survey.

Does anybody knows a syntax for SPSS to do it??

Thanks!

Nope, not that I am aware of. That doesn't mean you can't still run Alpha outside the complex model without the weights applied
