Problem with syntax created to convert a .dat file

Postby mac_csa » Thu Jul 18, 2013 8:54 pm

Hello,

I've never done this before and I need some help figuring out the problem:

So, following a model, I created a syntax to run a .dat file of a survey in SPSS.
I did the data list, following the order in the dictionary, I labeled the variables and all of that.
When I run the syntax, everything seems fine, everything is there, but the answers to the questions always go from 0 to 9 and have cases in all of them, even in questions such as "sex", that should have only 2 answers (male or female).

Anyone knows what could be causing this? Did i forget to do something in the syntax?

Thank you!
