Fisher's exact test

Postby » Wed Apr 23, 2014 6:07 pm

Is the Fisher's exact test's output (e.g., chi-square and likelihood ratio) the same as the chi-square test's output in spss? Seems like the way to do fisher's exact test is the same as the way to do chi-square test. The output seems the same. Does it make sense?

Fishers exact test

Postby SimonHet » Thu Aug 10, 2017 8:05 pm

Hi there,

How can I get the Fishers exact results when I do a chi-squared analysis without having the exact tests module for SPSS?
When I do the chi-squared test right now, Im told I have 44 of my cells with an expected count of less than 5.
I also do not want just a 2x2 table. One of my variables is dichotomous, the other has 9 categories though.

Thanks for any suggestions
