I have searched the internet high and low and for the life of me I cannot figure this out: I want to do a two-way independent MANOVA (2 categorical independent variables: Sex (2 levels, male and female), and Version of a survey (4 levels, participants got version 1, 2, 3, or 4)). I have 4 dependent variables I'm looking at. I have planned contrasts, which look like this when I do my one-way ANOVA and use the spss boxes to enter them in:
/CONTRAST=-2 -2 2 2
/CONTRAST=0 0 -1 1
/CONTRAST=-1 1 0 0
However, in MANOVA, you have to either choose pre-set contrasts (like Helmert, Simple, etc) or use syntax to input your own. I do not know how to put everything together with syntax to make this happen in a factorial MANOVA. Can someone please help me??? I would be forever grateful!
