CTable syntax to hide the row category label

Postby sgtpepper2012 » Fri Jul 06, 2012 9:54 am

I'm trying to create a tableset of ctables and to fit more variables in the columns I am manually hiding the row category label after the tableset has been run. Is there a way of doing this via the CTables syntax? Or alternatively a default setting I have missed or simple macro or script that would achieve this?

I've pasted the syntax of the 1st table below if that helps.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

CTABLES
/FORMAT EMPTY=ZERO MISSING='.' MINCOLWIDTH=15 MAXCOLWIDTH=37 UNITS=POINTS
/SMISSING VARIABLE
/VLABELS VARIABLES=Q1 D4 D2 D3 DISPLAY=LABEL
/TABLE Q1 [C] BY D4 [C][COUNT 'n' F40.0, COLPCT.COUNT '%' PCT40.1] + D2 [C][COUNT 'n' F40.0, COLPCT.COUNT '%' PCT40.1] + D3 [C][COUNT 'n' F40.0, COLPCT.COUNT '%' PCT40.1]
/CATEGORIES VARIABLES=Q1 D4 ORDER=A KEY=VALUE EMPTY=INCLUDE TOTAL=YES POSITION=BEFORE
/CATEGORIES VARIABLES=D2 [1, 2, 3] EMPTY=INCLUDE
/CATEGORIES VARIABLES=D3 [1, 6, 7, 8, 9] EMPTY=INCLUDE
/TITLES
CORNER='Banner1'
TITLE='Q1. Has your organisation awarded staff a pay rise in the past 18 months?'.

Worked it out myself, change the vlabels line, solution below:

/VLABELS VARIABLES=Q1 DISPLAY=NONE /VLABELS VARIABLES=D4 D2 D3 DISPLAY=LABEL
