Mean number of the participants

Postby sarahatespss » Tue Mar 13, 2018 7:16 pm

Hello SPSS users!

I have collected data for my research for weeks now. In my online study, participants had to indicate their age by selecting 18-20, 20-23... and such.
However, I've realised that I have come to a dilemma :x that I need to report the mean ages of the participants but they are in ranges like (18-20...20-21..)
I know how to conduct mean sample for participants but how do I do in my case in ranges... how do I even report in my dissertation?

Help

Many thanks,

Not really a viable way to do this but and alternative, be sure to note it being so, is the take the midpoint of each category and the freq, etc to get an 'approx' mean

Also .............
See the note below
