What SPSS product do I need?

Postby nikko » Mon Apr 27, 2015 9:03 am

Just started working in a new company where I’m to take charge of ordering the statistical software I need. Since my former employers have provided me with the SPSS versions required for me to do a solid job, I’m not sure which of the various packages found on IBM’s homepage that I need. Consequently, I am posting a list of statistical techniques I will use for sure, and hope that someone can provide me with the name of the SPSS version (i.e., full name of statistical package) I need to get my hands on:

Regression analysis
Multiple regressions
Logistic regression
Score card building (based on logistic regression – in order to conduct binary prediction models)
Cluster analysis
Factor analysis (i.e., principal component analysis)
T-tests
ANOVA
ANCOVA
Discriminant analysis

I’m also wondering if someone knows if it is easy to take data out from a server, for instance in a tab separated.txt-format, and convert it into a .sav file so that one can use the file for analytical purposes in SPSS.

Best regards,
Nikko
