SPSS saves as Excel always default to same creation date

Postby 230227 » Tue Sep 29, 2015 3:17 pm

Hi

Whenever I save an SPSS file as Excel 2007-2010, the file created always has the same creation date: 23/2/2007 15:58 (shown in the "Details" tab of the properties)

I'm using Excel 2010 and SPSS vs 19

Does anyone know why it does this and if I can change the creation date?

Many thanks

Mark

Hi,
Version 22 does not do that. You may want to see if there is a patch to 19 that helps (there was a number of patches to 19 I seem to remember. But there is no option in SPSS that can fix it. You can of course use some version of a touch utility if you really need the dates right.
best
Jon
