which test should i use

Postby fhdconin » Sun Dec 06, 2015 7:15 pm

Hi,
I have a problem in solving a task for school.
this is the question:
there are two groups of plants: 25 infected and 25 non-infected.
for each plant you have 11 variables with 4 possible values: A,C,G,T
so you have two times 11 groups with 25 variables.
now I need to know if for each variable there's a difference between the variable's values for infected plants and for non-infected plants.

I hope someone can help me. I need to have the answer in 4 hours and I'm quite desperate.
I'm sorry if I didn't make the question clear, it's hard to translate the question from dutch to english

Many thanks!

This forum is not intended to solve people's homework for them.
If you have a specific question about a specific part of your research, you have tried stuff and it doesn't work, you can come back to us.
Good luck though!

your data seems qualitative then in that case if your looking for association you could use chi square test / fisher's exact test
In case of quantitive, look for anova or kruskal-wallis test.
Hope this answers your query!
