Using SPSS for ranked data analysis

Postby griffin79 » Sun Apr 17, 2016 11:23 am

Hi, looking for some help please.

As part of a survey of 30 people, I will be asking them to complete a rank type question. This will involve them considering 7 success factors about their profession and ranking them from most to least important. I then want to perform an analysis which will total all the responses to create an overall rank for the factors. i.e. which factors received the most 1st place votes, the factor which received the most 2nd place votes and so on. Once complete I then want to compare the overall results to how I ranked the factors separately using data from a literature review. This will allow me to test the null hypothesis that the factors are distributed, by ranking, the same.
