Data Editor Seems to be Locked

Postby StatsNewbie » Sat Sep 02, 2017 2:43 am

Hello.

I must have done something while entering my data. One section of my data editor turned into a series of question marks. I immediately saved that file, but now when I open it, it appears to be locked. I can not copy or cut any data cells. I tried saving the file with a different file name. I am still not able to cut or copy.

Is there a way to "unlock" my data editor?

Thanks.

My OS is windows 10; version of SPSS is 22.

I believe the problem is somehow the file got corrupted. I am unable to do any data analysis even with the data already entered. I receive this notice:

"Any changes made to the working file since 01-SEP-2017 20:49:51 have been lost. The time now is 21:23:53." Is there any way to make this file usable again?
