What analyses should I do?

Postby Apelpismenos » Wed Jan 03, 2018 11:25 am

Hello. I have data from 3 phases with the same sample. Each phase has 4 groups. Between each phase intervention program was held.

1) Control group 1
2) Experiment group 1
3) Control group 2
4) Experiment group 2

I use many theories to create the test and I add some more parameter.

I know I must do factor analysis. But I am confuse if I need confirmatory or explanatory? Should I do both? Should I do both for each group for each phase?

Thanks.

Study: Mathematical knowledge and abilities about transformation in primary school.
Test. Numerical data. Each exercise is on variable.
Some variables load to one factor, some other to other factor.

Phase 1: same test to 4 groups
Then
A specific instruction to experimental group 1 and a different instruction to experimental group 2.
Phase 2: the same test to 4 groups
Then
A specific instruction to experimental group 1 and a different instruction to experimental group 2.
Phase 3: the same test to 4 groups
I want to create a model. To check if there are factors and if the factors are creating a model (with second order factors)
