Missing values treated as 0

Postby eliksen » Wed Feb 06, 2013 2:59 pm

I have data set with empty records so as to make the file smaller. I impoted data to SPSS and I want that all the empty records were treated as 0.

For example:
Client A:
Client B: 22
Client C: 22

So for client A is 0, and for B and C is 22. And the average would be (44+0)/3 = 14,67

Is there any way to do this?

Just replace empty cells by zeros in excel. Then import database to spss and continue your work
