Chi-square for varying areas

Postby referend » Mon Jul 01, 2013 8:38 am

hi there!
I performed an experiment in which impacts on different areas were count (all areas had the same probability to be hit).
The problem is that the areas have different sizes (For example: area 1 = 20mm^2 with 4 impacts; area 2: 26mm^2 with 3 impacts; area 3: 49mm^2 with 12 impacts .....).

And now my questions:

(1) Is it possible to test whether an area has statistically more impacts than another (chi-square),
(2) is it possible to perform it in SPSS and
(3) how do i perform it in SPSS?

Thank you for your ideas!!!
