Independant Samples T-Test with multiple variables?

Postby AdamSlimings » Sat Apr 12, 2014 5:33 pm

Hello, I'm currently doing an assignment at university where I have to compare multiple variables between two groups who are in trained and untrained, I have to compare Height (cm), Weight (kg), Age Heart Rate (b.min), VO2 (L/min), VO2 (ml/kg/min), VCO2 (L/min) and RER and all of these have been measured in 3 separate stages, 50w on a bike, 100w on a bike and 150w on a bike, each variable as seen is measured three times.

I am not currently sure how to input the data into SPSS so that when running a Independent samples T test I get a chart that shows the variables being measure against each other, can you instruct me on how to input the data? I can't find any videos that can explain how I would do this, thank you

you can type variable names in the variables column.
then enter data row by row (each row is a participant/case) in the data window.
