SPSS 19: Non-parametric tests and nominal values

Postby eoinokeeffe » Fri Nov 04, 2011 9:05 am

Hi,

Hope someone can help me. I'm trying to do a Mann-Whitney U test on independent samples in SPSS 19. But in the fields tab it won't let me enter nominal values in the test fields. I get the error "Nominal fields cannot be placed in the list". I'm new to SPSS but it seems you could enter nominal values in previous versions.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but i haven't found it.

Thanks,

Eoin

Right, nominal want work so change them to scale and should be good to go
