Hi,

Is it possible for a Bonferroni Z-test to denote significance within the cross-tab itself rather than separate, such as below?

15 Current living situation
Live w/relatives Rent Own home
% % %
(A) (B) (C)
Marital S. Married 54.0% 75.6%A 83.5%A
Single 42%BC 21.9% 14.9%
Divorced 4.0% 2.5% 1.7%
Total 100.0% 100.0% 100.0%

What Analyze>Tables>Custom Tables>Test Statistics will do is produce two separate tables, cross-tabs and the Z-test.

This is harder to analyze since it requires one to look at two tables rather than one.

Depending on your SPSS version there is a macro or Python

Thank you for your reply, Statman.

How or where may I access this macro or Python and is this the precise name of which?

Just wanted to clarify my tables . . .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,

Is it possible for a Bonferroni Z-test to denote significance within the cross-tab itself rather than separate, such as below?

---15 Current living situation ---
Live w/relatives---Rent---Own home
%-----%-----%
(A)----(B)----(C)
Marital S.
Married---54.0%--75.6%A--83.5%A
Single----42%BC--21.9%---14.9%
Divorced--4.0%---2.5%----1.7%
Total---100.0%--100.0%--100.0%

What Analyze>Tables>Custom Tables>Test Statistics will do is produce two separate tables, cross-tabs and the Z-test.

This is harder to analyze since it requires one to look at two tables rather than one.

---15 Current living situation ---
Live w/relatives---Rent---Own home
%-----%-----%
(A)----(B)----(C)

Married---54.0%--75.6%--83.5%
Single-----42%---21.9%---14.9%
Divorced--4.0%---2.5%----1.7%
Total---100.0%--100.0%--100.0%

---15 Current living situation ---
Live w/relatives---Rent---Own home
(A)----(B)----(C)
Marital S.
Married------------A-----A
Single------BC------------
