Hi all.
I'm saving a spss dataset (where every numerical variables are formatted to f3.1) to xls (save translate outfile...). When I take a look the xls-file, formats are ok. Then I use some "letter-tool" (i don't know actual name for that, but you can take every row from access/excel-file to own page in word document) in microsoft word and I get observation(rows) of each variable(column) nicely to table BUT...
Some single numbers have, say, 15 or 16 decimals, altough variables were formatted otherwise. For example, 15.1 seems to be 15.09999999999999996 or 15.1000000000000001. There is 15.1 in original spss dataset AND just created xls, but in MSword some numbers are weird. And there is still another wierd thing... everything is completely random. Same number may be wrong or not, when you create a new word document second time.
Anybody facing the same problem?
Thanks, topik
