Copy special as default

Postby elchvonoslo » Wed Dec 14, 2011 9:15 am

Hei,

I recently used SPSS18.
Today I updated to SPSS20.
Until yesterday it was no problem to copy via CRTL+C all Output Tables into PowerPoint. This was convenient, easy and quick!
In SPSS20 I have to use "copy special" to do the same. This is possible only with the mouse. There are minimum 4 clicks for each table I want to copy. This is time wasting!
Is it possible to assign a Short-cut to Copy special as well?
Or even better: Is it possible to use copy special as default?

If not, this is a bug which should repaired immediately, thanks!

I can Copy with ctrl-C & V but look into Export
See the note below

Thanks a lot, statman.
Maybe I was not clear enough:
Of course I can use Copy and Paste (Ctrl+C & Ctrl+V) but if I do so for pasting a SPSS-Output-Table into PowerPoint all formating is gone.
Here I have to go the way via Copy Special. This is not possible via keyboard/ short Cuts yet. (and only with a lot of redundant clicks of the mouse)
Normally you do not have only one Table to copy, have you?

Maybe this is the question: can I define Short-cuts by my own in SPSS?

Or this:
Is it possible to say SPSS somewhere, that instead of Copy is CTRl+C Copy Special is so?

Thanks,
