I've got tons and tons of .sav files of survey data, containing both the data and the label descriptions. What's the best method of export the SPSS files to an external database (such as MySQL) that maintains the association with the labels for each variable?

Chrisa107,

You do have an option in the File/Export to Database to export your data file to a particular data source such as SQL, Excel and so on. You do need to setup your Data Source. Verify make sure your Database type and Driver are compatible for Statistics. Then go to Control Panel/Administration Tool/Data Source (ODBC) to do your configuration.
