My syntax only works if I copy and paste into new syntax file

Postby larry_sellers_ » Thu Nov 16, 2017 9:29 pm

First post so let me know what other details you need from me:

I've had a recurring problem for the past 6 months or so. I create a syntax file for my dataset, and it works fine. Then, I save and close. Then when I open the file back up a few days later and use it on the same dataset, I get the "variable undefined" error for pretty much every line of syntax, even though I doublecheck the dataset and the variables are there.

Here's the thing, I can copy and paste that exact syntax into a blank syntax file that I create while having the dataset open, and everything works fine.

So I'm assuming I need some line in my syntax directing it towards the dataset?

This copy-paste workaround is fine until I have to share the syntax with someone else and they can't figure out why it doesn't work.

Thank you very much
