Hey guys

"All variables in the working file or in the sets in use are
inappropriate for this dialog box"

I am getting that message everytime I load a set of data and EVEN WHEN I MANUALLY INSERT A SMALL AMOUNT OF DATA IN A NEW FILE. (e.g. male/female, measure doens't matter what i choose, same error message every time)

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's version 14 of SPSS.

thx a lot, greetings from austria

Very odd so will need some more

Can you send me the test data you entered and received the message, the output viewer file would alos help if it shows the error message

If you are also user "pk2a1" data received and replied in email: Can read in SPSS V14. Data looks like Excel input but a lot of text at bottom of dataset that might be causing you problems for some reason.
