Class CIGet data msg'

Postby Kate Pearson » Tue Jun 12, 2007 9:32 am

Has anybody encountered the following error message whilst using SPSS?

'An unknown error occurred processing Dataset Msg:: Class CIGet data msg'

In addition to this message, on one file the data has been replaced by
question marks and in another file empty files which did contain data now
contain question marks. I assume that the files are corrupted in some way
but am not sure why or if the data can be recovered?

Hello Kate,

We haven't encountered that error yet. I have tried to find some information about it through Google, but no luck either. It sounds to me like an uncommon error. My only advise would be to contact SPSS Support.

Kate emailed us:
Thanks for your reply - I have reverted back to an older version of the file
which seems to be working OK at the moment!
Best wishes
Kate, please let us know if you encounter the error again.

Dear Kate,
I have the same problem and it make me crazy!
Please, could do confirm me that with an older SPSS version (e.g. SPSS 14) you work the problem out?
