What test should I use?

Postby W.V.B. » Wed Aug 09, 2017 4:48 pm

Hello,

A friend of mine is writing a small research paper for her bachelor's degree, and we are not 100% sure what test to use. Basically, we have to see whether an anxiety training had effect on levels of depression, anxiety and fear.

Independent variabele: Followed anxiety training (yes or no, so nominal)
Dependent variabeles: Depression score, anxiety score and fear score (interval variables)

Our sample size is very small (n = 5)

We figured we'd use the non-paramtric Wilcoxon Rank Sum test, seeing as our sample size is so small. Are we on the right track?

I think you have your DV/IV variables backward? More of an issue is the sample size - Simply too small to catch anything except simple freq/crosstabs as far as can tell

Also, ...............
