Which statistical test to use (t-test or ANOVA)?

Postby makary » Sat Feb 04, 2017 7:04 pm

Hello,

i just need a simple quick advice about uses of statistical test and which one to use: t-test or ANOVA?

In first analysis i have lenght of password and gender (MAN and WOMAN), so here i used Independent T-Test which is explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8alv3kZt8Ug&t=131s

In second analysis i also have lenght of password and many different years (1980, 1990, 2000, 2010) and here i dont know which test to use? Can i also use Independent T-Test or should i use ANOVA test (if yes, which one) or some other?

Thanks for help, I appreciate.

I want to execute standard statistical tests and check if there is statistical significance. I need this for my hypothesis.
