how am i supposed to compare two category data

Postby emma4178912 » Sun Apr 29, 2012 10:58 pm

i have three categories - future time perspective and present time perpestctive and present fatalistic time perspective
but i want to look at their text messages and interpret them, so i looked for common themes and plan to use something like 'night out' 'sport/outdoor acitivty' and couple others

but i dont know what statistic to use really. as both sets of data are categories, theres no continuous data or correlation
