Possible easy answer for repeated measures analysis

Postby ultilil » Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:42 pm

Hi, I'm trying to do a repeated measures multivariate analysis where I"m looking at essay rating as a measure (multiple measures), and time 1 and 2 for two different groups of targets (male and female). The problem is that gender is not defined as a factor in the data set, and I want to use it as a between groups variable, even though every participant saw both genders. In other words I want to analyze the difference between differences (t1 and t2): is the difference between t1 and t2 greater for females than for males. I can't seem to figure out how to tag different t1's and t2's as male or female and I know I must create a new condition:gender variable but I'm at a loss. Can I do this easily or will I have to restructure my data in SPSS and do a mixed GLM?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
