Hi
I can use COMPUTE and add scores along the row in the datafile and have SPSS put the total as one of the variables.

But how do you add scores along the column (TOP TO DOWN) - for all columns - and have SPSS put the totals at the bottom of the datafile? - just like the spreadsheet.

Any help will be appreciated.

Normally, to create info about sum/means/other statistics of variables, we use tables, not a calculation in data field, but let say that we need it for some export purpose. But that is not the Excle way, but:
1. Do the aggregation into new file/dataset.
2. Add the aggregation to your original dataset as new observation.
3. Enjoy
