Back transformation of square root transformed predictor

Postby Mattias » Tue May 29, 2012 1:10 pm

Dear listers,
I am running logistic regressions where one of my predictors is landholding in acres. Because it is heavily positively skewed, I needed to transform it. The best suited transformation is the square root of land in acres. I am wondering how I should interpret the beta for this value and if I am correct in simply back transforming the coefficient by squaring it so that I can interpret it in acres?
Thanks,
Mattias
