Hopefully a simple problem:

I typed in some of my raw-data and have a few new variables calculated (reversing of a scale) ... however I entered some new cases (as the surveys come back) and the calculated variables won't come up for the new cases? Is there a function to RECALCULATE, so that I get the calculated variables for ALL my cases ?

SPSS Version 17 btw!

spss does not automatically (re)calculate, if you want to do the same calculation several times use the syntax and rerun your commands.

If you haven't used syntax, locate the journal file (statistics.jnl), open it with spss or a text editor, locate the instructions you're interested in, copy them in a syntax windows and run them.
