Top 5 % trim syntax

Postby Jaleel » Tue Dec 12, 2017 7:47 am

Hi,

I am just a SPSS beginner and need the following syntax help.

I want to remove top 5% numeric values and then mean for this variable to be calculated. Finally, If any respondent is 33% less than the mean value then that respondent to be marked as 1 in a new variable. This is the method we do manually for every project to find speeders and would like to create syntax for future projects. Kindly help. Thanks.
