NEED HELP URGENTLY: Visual Binning

Postby Seren3101 » Wed Sep 03, 2014 12:26 am

I am assigned to obtain the average amount for each decile (i.e. 1st-10th, 11th-20th, 21th-30th, 31th-40th, 41th-50th, 51th-60th, 61th-70th, 71th-80th, 81th-90th, 91th-100th).

When i used visual binning to make 10 cutpoints, i could only obtain 4 cutpoints:
Amt range
<= .0------------------count=21367, average bal=0
.01 - .66---------------count=195, average bal=0.28
.67 - 875.51------------count=2693, average bal=165
875.52+----------------count=2695, average bal=16576
Total------------------count=26950, average bal=1373.9

How do i interpret the data?
Does it mean that the average amount for the deciles (1st-10th/11th-20th/21st-30th/31th-40th/41th-50th/51th-60th/61th-70th) is equal to $0?
And average amount for the following deciles 71th-80th=$0.28, 81th-90th=$165, 91th-100th=$16576?

Please help me. Thanks so much in advance.
