Compare Means

Postby Brunob » Wed Sep 17, 2014 1:39 pm

Hi guys,

I'm new with spss, I'm using it for my thesis, and I ask for your help in order to understand how to interpret the following output.

That's what I do: Compare Means->Means.
As dependent I select the results of a precedent factor analysis, let's call them REGR1 and REGR2.
As independet I select: sex, age and instruction level.

This is the output. How can I interpret those data?

Thankyou.

Report

Male________-0,437______-0,037

Female______0,022_______0,02

Total_________0___________0

ANOVA_____________________________________Sum of squares_____gl______Mean square_____F_______Sig.

REGR 1 for_____Between groups__________________0,468_________1________0,468_____0,467______0,494

About ANOVA i reached to define what it means.

Regarding the first table, I have an hypothesis, but I don't want to influence anybody.

I would advice you to look up some case-studies for ANOVA's, as this is a very common analysis, there will be plenty of them online!
