Occurrence of a characteristic, what test to use?

Postby qwetz1899 » Tue Feb 10, 2015 10:04 am

Hi,

I want to see if two conditions always occur together, using SPSS. That is, I have some events that show a certain characteristic, let's call is 'X'. I want to check when this characteristic appears, and if it is bound to condition A or B. Furthermore, I want to know if it there is any order effect, for example 'X' occurs more likely if condition A precedes condition B. I only have one group of participants that I measured, and each of them completed conditions A and B, each four times.
My thoughts are: I should compare all X in condition A against all X in condition B and then do a follow-up that compares an order effect.

My problem is, I don't know how to do this in SPSS. Any help is appreciated!
