SPSS analyse

Postby PeterPan » Sun Sep 27, 2015 7:06 pm

Hi all,

I hope someone can help me with this case:

I have currently different variables. For example:

A "0"
B "1"
C "0"
D "1"
E "1".

0 is No, 1 is Yes. Every variable is a unique item. However, you can categorize these in two new variables, say X and Y.
A B C are X. D and E are Y.

Now I want a table with the total points (1 is 1 point, 0 is no points) for X and total points for Y. On the other side I want to put age category's. I have made these in different classes already.

Can someone please advice how to do this?

It is not entirely clear to me what it is you need, but it sounds like you might need to use the aggregate function.
