Rate of change calculations

Postby ivenner » Sun Oct 11, 2015 1:30 pm

Hi,

I apologise if this has been answered before, but I have searched and cannot seem to find an answer. I am guessing it will be a simple one though.

I am helping my daughter with some statistical calculations for her Uni course work and she has to use SPSS, and while I know excel inside out, this must be completed in SPSS. She has 2 tables of data - snow depth on glaciers by altitude for two separate glaciers - and needs to calculate the rate of change of snow depth with elevation. However I can't seem to find this in SPSS. The other calculations for generation a Pearson Correlation Coefficiant seem straightforward, well documented anyway :) , but this is eluding us.

Can anyone shed some light on how this is done in SPSS please?

Many thanks

Ian
