Multivariate model

Postby chaos4u2 » Mon Feb 29, 2016 4:23 pm

Hello, I was told that with SPSS I could do a multivariate model. Is this possible? How can you do it?

I'm trying to find an equation that depends of more that 1 variable.

For example:

CARS GENERATED = A·X + B·Y + C·Z + .....

Where A, B, C are constants to find

And X, Y, Z are the random variables.

I wrote a linear equation but it doesn't matter if it's not.

Is it possible to do with SPSS? How?

Also I would like to ask if the random variables can be non-numeric values.

Thank you in advanced.

yes, you can do this via regression.
If you have non-numeric variables, it may be best to convert them to numeric ones using automatic recode.
you then may have to create dummy variables for those.
