Chi square test without can I do it

Postby tahh11 » Thu Apr 13, 2017 6:03 am

Dear Community,

Thank you in advance for your help...

I have 2 variables (Month & Value)
(Date spanning 5 years, so N of Month = 12 * 5 = 60)

I want to:

1. Get sum for each Month

For example:

Jan 20
Feb 30

2. Do a test to see if this variation by month is significant.

I was able to do this on Excel by calculating expected values and x2.
I then used chisq.test function.

But I am struggling to do this on SPSS.

I tried using Crosstab (for this I need cross table) so it did not work

I tried using legacy and chi-square, but it only works for 1 variable...

thank you in advance...
