Input help

Postby acwilson » Wed Mar 16, 2016 3:07 pm

Hi guys,

Currently doing my Psychology dissertation and obviously SPSS and data analysis is a major junk of it!

I'm having trouble however figuring out how to input some of my data in to SPSS. I'm using Rotter's 'Locus of Control' scale in my questionnaire, which is a 29-item forced-choice response survey. Participants are given two statements (A or B) in to which they have to decide what one they agree with the most. 23 of the items account for either 'internal' or 'external' locus of control.

How would I go about inputting this in to SPSS?
I'm stumped. :? :?

Thanks.

make 1 variable per item and give 1/0 as input corresponding to a or b

Had a feeling it would have been as simple as that!

Thanks so much :) :D
